This week, rare earth product prices declined at a rapid pace.

Although a small number of low-priced supplies from traders still flowed into the market, the actual transaction range narrowed significantly.

Even when there is demand, downstream buyers show low purchase willingness, and market expectations for the future remain generally pessimistic. Some industry participants are even holding a bearish view on prices after the New Year. Traders continue to lower prices to offload goods, and rare earth prices are expected to fluctuate downward in the future.

In November 2024, domestic production of Pr-Nd oxide and Pr-Nd alloy showed a slight decline MoM.

With market purchasing activity remaining subdued, suppliers continued to offer goods at low prices, and low-price transactions were frequently reported. Buyers mainly adopted a wait-and-see approach, and under the influence of the mentality to rush to buy amid continuous price rise and hold back amid price downturn, market trading volume was not high today.

In November 2024, the production of dysprosium oxide and terbium oxide increased compared to the previous month, while gadolinium oxide production continued to decline. Meanwhile, holmium oxide production maintained a slight upward trend.

In the morning, most market participants showed low confidence in the future market, with separation plants offering fewer active quotations, while some traders actively quoted at lower prices, leading to a significant decline in market transaction prices. In the Ningbo region, low-priced Pr-Nd alloy was still quoted, but actual trading volume was not high. Dysprosium and terbium products had relatively firm quotations today, with no significant fluctuations observed.

This week, the rare earth market showed an overall weak trend.
