According to data released by the London Metal Exchange (LME), LME aluminium inventories have re-entered the downward cycle since late October last year. The latest inventory level was 450,300 mt as of December 30, a new low in the past two months.
In contrast, SHFE aluminium inventory increased 342 mt on a weekly basis to 95,881 mt as of December 30, setting a one-month high. However, the figure was near a six-year low.
