According to the latest data from China Customs, in September 2024, China's imports of hydrometallurgy intermediate products were 113,832 mt, down 7% MoM and 40% YoY. By country, Indonesia's hydrometallurgy intermediate products saw a slight increase in production in September, and normal shipments from Indonesia continued, resulting in an increase in imports compared to the previous month. The main reduction came from imports of hydrometallurgy intermediate products from Papua New Guinea, where shipments were delayed due to shipping schedules and resource tax issues. Imports of hydrometallurgy intermediate products are expected to remain stable in October due to shipping schedule issues.
