Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On November 20th, Geely officially put its fire new SUV model, the Geely Cowboy (named "Niu Zai" in Chinese), onto the market, offering two variants with a price range from 9.39 million yuan to 9.99 million yuan, but with a limited-time offer starting at 8.99 million yuan.
The Geely Cowboy adopts a light off-road design. Positioned as a compact SUV, the new model measures 4,442mm in length, 1,860mm in width, and 1,770mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,640mm.
Designed to be compact yet robust, the Cowboy has a sleek and dynamic exterior. The vehicle features multiple rounded rectangular elements and extensive use of unpainted plastic trim around the body. The roof is optionally equipped with a luggage rack, providing a cargo space of up to 1.3m² with a maximum load capacity of 50kg. At the rear, the actual spare tire is housed in the trunk for added convenience.
The SUV rolls on 18-inch tires, with options for 17-inch off-road rims and 17-inch all-terrain tires, further enhancing its outdoor capabilities. Red brake calipers add a sporty, aggressive touch to the vehicle's aesthetic and performance.
The new model comes with four exterior color options including Snow White, Forest Green, Volcano Grey, and Desert Brown, with a two-tone body and floating roof design aimed at appealing to younger, style-conscious buyers.
Inside, the Geely Cowboy offers two color scheme options: Mystic Green and Mineral Grey. The vehicle's all trims come standard with the Flyme Auto intelligent cockpit system co-developed by Geely and DreamSmart Group and the 14.6-inch central touchscreen, which integrates the Flyme Auto infotainment system powered by the high-performance E02 chipset. The system supports HiCar, CarLink, and FlymeLink connectivity.
For ease of use, the Cowboy retains physical buttons alongside an electronic gear shifter. The seats combine leather, denim, and suede materials. Besides, the SUV comes standard with six-way power-adjustable seats, six speakers, rear air vents, and automatic climate control across its entire lineup.
In terms of performance, the Geely Cowboy is powered by a 1.5T four-cylinder engine, delivering a maximum output of 133kW (181 horsepower) and peak torque of 290N·m. The engine is paired with a 7DCT wet dual-clutch transmission. Thanks to this powertrain, the model enables a top speed of 200 km/h. Besides, the new vehicle runs on 92-octane gasoline, with a WLTC-rated combined fuel consumption of 6.97 L/100km. Notably, the Cowboy features front MacPherson struts and a rear multi-link independent suspension, ensuring a smooth and dynamic driving experience.
