SMM global iron ore total shipments reached 33.35 million mt, up 1.4% WoW. Shipments from Australia were 17.86 million mt, up 2.8% WoW; shipments from Australia to China were 13.88 million mt, accounting for 77.7% of Australia's total shipments, down 3.1% WoW. Shipments from Brazil were 8.68 million mt, up 8.9% WoW; shipments from Brazil to China were 3.51 million mt, accounting for 40.4% of Brazil's total shipments, down 14.6% WoW.

By mine, the total shipments from the four major mines (Rio Tinto, BHP, FMG, Vale) last week were 17.54 million mt, an increase of 810,000 mt WoW.

By variety, the total shipments of the four varieties last week were 32.44 million mt, an increase of 110,000 mt WoW.

Port Arrival Data

SMM China iron ore port arrivals totaled 25 million mt, down 5.27% WoW.

By variety, the total port arrivals of the four varieties last week were 24.6 million mt, a decrease of 1.37 million mt WoW.
