Beijing (Gasgoo)- LiDAR manufacturer Hesai Technology announced on December 5 that Changan Automobile has chosen the Hesai ATX LiDAR product exclusively for its new intelligent driving platform.
The partnership encompasses over ten vehicle models across the automaker's multiple brands, with planned orders exceeding 1.5 million units over the next few years. The first model riding on this platform is slated for mass production in the second half of 2025.
Hesai Technology and Changan Automobile's partnership started in 2022. In October this year, Changan's NEVO E07 model, equipped with two Hesai AT128 LiDAR units, successfully hit the market, underscoring the automaker's commitment to advancing intelligent driving capabilities.
Launched in April, the Hesai ATX is a compact, high-definition long-range LiDAR built on the company's proven AT platform. It features Hesai's fourth-generation chip architecture, upgraded optical design, and laser transceiver module, achieving a blend of compact size and robust performance. As advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS) penetrate broader vehicle segments, the ATX is poised for large-scale deployment. It is currently advancing toward mass production and is expected to become a standard feature for numerous vehicle models planned for 2025.
