Beijing (Gasgoo)- LiDAR solution provider Hesai Technology announced on December 6 that it has secured an exclusive production contract for several vehicle models from Great Wall Motor's WEY and TANK SUV brands. These models will feature Hesai's ATX LiDAR, which is slated for mass production in 2025.
Hesai and Great Wall Motor formalized their strategic partnership in February 2024. By August, the new WEY Blue Mountain SUV equipped with Hesai's AT128 LiDAR officially hit the market and began mass deliveries. As Great Wall Motor's first intelligent SUV wit NOA (navigation-on-autopilot) capabilities, the WEY Blue Mountain offers seamless NOA experiences across highways and urban roads.
During the recent Auto Guangzhou 2024, the Blue Mountain rolled out an OTA upgrade enabling all-scenario urban NOA functionality nationwide, covering highways, city roads, rural paths, and mountain trails without relying on high-precision maps. The system also enhances night driving safety and flexibility through LiDAR-visual fusion technology, significantly reducing blind spots.
Over the next two years, more Great Wall Motor models will integrate Hesai's LiDAR solution, accelerating the adoption of intelligent driving solutions and advancing all-scenario NOA capabilities, delivering a safer, more intelligent mobility experience for users.
