【Electrolyte Weekly Report】 ► Total Investment Exceeds 1 Billion Yuan! DFD's LiPF6 Project Passes Inspection ► 5.18 Billion Yuan! A LiPF6 Project Achieves New Progress! ► Total Investment of 10 Billion Yuan! New Updates on a Lithium Bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide and Ethylene Carbonate Project ► Electrolyte Demand Expected to Drop Back Slightly in December ► Hongyuan Pharmaceutical: Solid Sulphide Electrolyte Has Completed Kilogram-Scale Experiment

【Highlights】5.18 Billion Yuan! New Progress in a LiPF6 Project!

According to "China Construction Installation," the construction project of Zhejiang Jianli Chemical's 2,000 mt/year LiPF6 production line was recently completed.

It is reported that Zhejiang Jianli Chemical's 2,000 mt/year LiPF6 project is part of Zhejiang Jianli Chemical Co., Ltd.'s new energy materials construction project, which includes an annual capacity of 20,000 mt of LiPF6, 5,000 mt of lithium bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide, 2,000 mt of ethylene carbonate, and 50,000 mt of lithium battery electrolyte. The project is located in the Modern Pharmaceutical and Chemical Park of Xianju Economic Development Zone, Taizhou, Zhejiang.

The total investment in this project is 5.18 billion yuan, and it is being implemented in two phases. The first phase includes a 2,000 mt/year LiPF6 production line and supporting utilities (facilities), while the remaining parts will be implemented in the second phase. 【Project】Total Investment Exceeds 1 Billion Yuan! DFD's LiPF6 Project Accepted

On December 11, DFD (002407) announced the environmental protection acceptance of the second phase of its 30,000 mt/year ultra-pure high-purity crystalline LiPF6 project. The total investment in this project is 1.00105 billion yuan, and it is being constructed in three phases. Each phase mainly involves upgrading and expanding existing hydrofluoric acid production facilities to increase HF capacity by 8,428 mt/year, building a new 10,000 mt/year LiPF6 production unit, and utilizing by-product hydrochloric acid to produce calcium chloride in the first and second phases. Additionally, new production equipment and environmental protection facilities are being constructed. (Source: Battery 100 Forum - Battery Network)

【Updates】Total Investment of 10 Billion Yuan! New Developments in an Ethylene Carbonate and Lithium Bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide Project

According to "Invest in Dazhou," Dazhou Jiuyuan New Materials Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong-listed Jiuyuan Chemical (Group) Co., Ltd., currently operates two production units with an annual capacity of 400,000 mt of synthetic ammonia and 450,000 mt of urea. During this critical period of Q4 order fulfillment, both units are running at full capacity, with five packaging lines operating at full speed to stockpile and ship products.

Meanwhile, Jiuyuan Chemical (Group) plans to leverage its existing resources and the advantages of the new energy battery industry and lithium-potassium resources in the park to extend its industrial chain downstream by planning the construction of ethylene carbonate and lithium bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide production units to enhance its competitiveness.

It is reported that Jiuyuan Chemical (Group) previously signed an agreement with Sichuan Dazhou to construct a new materials project in Dazhou High-tech Zone in three phases, with a planned investment of 10 billion yuan. The project includes production lines with an annual capacity of 500,000 mt of ethylene carbonate and 120,000 mt of lithium bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide.

"Currently, the Dazhou Jiuyuan New Materials project is progressing orderly with the construction of the first phase. The energy-saving and carbon-reduction renovation plan for the synthetic ammonia unit has been finalized, and the design institute is conducting engineering design. Preliminary evaluations have been completed, laying the groundwork for subsequent ethylene carbonate and lithium bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide products," said Jiang Mingsha, Deputy General Manager of Dazhou Jiuyuan New Materials Co., Ltd. 【Technology】China FAW: A Composite Solid Electrolyte Film, Its Preparation Method, and Application

Recently, China FAW Group Corporation announced a patent for solid-state batteries, titled "A Composite Solid Electrolyte Film, Its Preparation Method, and Application."

This patent provides a composite solid electrolyte film, its preparation method, and application, involving the field of solid-state battery technology. Specifically, the composite solid electrolyte film includes a three-dimensional composite support membrane and a halide electrolyte loaded on the support membrane. The three-dimensional composite support membrane consists of lithiated polymer, oxide solid electrolyte, and inorganic filler. The patent uses oxide solid electrolyte doped with inorganic filler to fill the lithiated polymer, forming a three-dimensional composite support membrane skeleton through electrospinning. The halide solid electrolyte is then compounded via solution immersion, creating an integrated organic-inorganic composite solid electrolyte structure. The electrolyte film features low thickness, high ionic conductivity, good mechanical strength, and a flexible surface, effectively suppressing lithium dendrite growth and fundamentally preventing short circuits between the cathode and anode, ensuring good safety. Recently, Hongyuan Pharmaceutical (301246) stated on its investor interaction platform that its sulphide solid electrolyte has achieved kilogram-scale experimentation but remains in the R&D stage. (Source: Battery 100 Forum - Battery Network)

【Think Tank Insights】Electrolyte Demand Expected to Drop Back Slightly in December

Recently, SMM analysis indicated that in November, the overall operating rate of electrolyte plants was approximately 43.48%, up about 4 percentage points from October. End-use market demand growth accelerated in November, leading to an overall increase in demand and a corresponding rise in the operating rate of electrolyte plants. Looking ahead to December, end-use demand is expected to decline slightly, driving a slight pullback in electrolyte demand. The operating rate in December is projected to reach approximately 42.42%.
