On December 19, JA Solar Technology announced in a statement that the company plans to invest in the construction of a project in Oman with an annual production capacity of 6 GW of high-efficiency solar cells and 3 GW of high-power solar modules. The total investment for the project is 3.957 billion yuan, accounting for 11.27% of the most recently audited net assets.
According to the announcement, the project is located in the Sohar Free Zone in Oman. The funding sources for the project include self-owned funds, external equity financing, and financing from financial institutions. The company will coordinate funding arrangements to ensure the smooth implementation of the project.
JA Solar Technology stated that globalization, as one of the company's key development strategies, has enabled the establishment of a global sales and service network system, with overseas business accounting for more than fifty percent. With the continuous growth of demand in overseas markets and the impact of international trade protection policies, the company's need for overseas capacity layout has become increasingly urgent. The investment and construction of this overseas capacity project align with the company's globalization development strategy, enhancing the overseas production capacity of high-efficiency products, better serving the international market, and improving the company's core competitiveness.
