Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On December 19, Chinese solid-state battery company Talent New Energy signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Chinese energy storage technology developer Narada on solid-state battery project, according to a post on Talent New Energy's WeChat account.
Under the agreement, both parties will collaborate on key projects via leveraging their respective R&D platforms. By integrating their technological research capabilities, the duo plans to conduct R&D and drive the commercial application of solid-state batteries, fostering innovation, application, and product iteration in this field.
Through strategic planning, industry-driven initiatives, and resource exchanges, they are committed to enhancing the collaborative effect across the supply chain and promoting the large-scale application of solid-state batteries in energy storage and civil application sectors.
Talent New Energy specializes in the R&D, manufacturing, and sales of solid-state batteries and related key materials. Its proprietary technology has addressed common challenges in the solid-state battery industry, such as difficulties in mass production, low yield rates, and high costs for large-scale battery installation.
In April this year, Talent New Energy released an all-solid-state lithium-metal battery that boasts an energy density of 720 Wh/kg and a capacity of 120Ah, three times the capacity of liquid lithium batteries. In November, the company introduced the "material-reduction manufacturing" concept, aiming to enhance battery safety and production efficiency. Based on this concept, it put forth a "4-3-2-1" technology roadmap to reduce the use of separator, electrolyte, and anode materials, optimizing the structure of solid-state batteries and advancing the realization of all-solid-state batteries.
