[Copper Production Decline Drags Down Mexico's Mining Development] According to BNAmericas, data from Mexico's National Institute of Statistics and Geography (Inegi) showed that in the first 10 months, Mexico's mining production saw a YoY decline of 4.4%, mainly due to a 25% drop in copper production. In the same period, zinc production increased by 29.6%, followed by lead (9.7%), silver (7.1%), and gold (2%).

According to a report by BNAmericas, data from Mexico's National Institute of Statistics and Geography (Inegi) showed that in the first 10 months, Mexico's mining production fell 4.4% YoY, mainly dragged down by a 25% decline in copper production.

However, copper production in October rose 1.4% YoY to 43,654 mt.

From January 1 to October 31, international copper prices increased by 11.8%.

In the first 10 months, zinc production grew by 29.6%, followed by lead (up 9.7%), silver (up 7.1%), and gold (up 2%).

Among these, zinc production in October reached 31,096 mt, up 65.1% YoY. Zacatecas was the largest producing state, with a production of 30,104 mt.

Since the beginning of the year, zinc prices have shown an upward trend.
