Beijing (Gasgoo)- LiDAR manufacturer Hesai Technology announced today that its LiDAR deliveries surpassed 100,000 units in December 2024, making it the first company globally to achieve a six-digit monthly delivery milestone.
Notably, over 20,000 units of the LiDAR products were delivered to the robotics sector, including applications in mobile robots, delivery robots, cleaning robots, and lawn-mowing robots. Hesai's diverse portfolio underscores its ability to cater to multiple industries beyond autonomous driving.
Looking ahead, Hesai plans to exceed an annual production capacity of 2 million units in 2025, further accelerating mass production while driving innovation. This expansion aims to strengthen Hesai's role in providing robust sensing solutions for both intelligent driving and robotics clients worldwide.
In addition to this milestone, Hesai Technology recently announced it so far received production contracts covering over 100 vehicle models from 21 automakers, including new designations from three of China's top five carmakers.
The three newly added automaker partners include a company with annual sales in the million units, a globally recognized Chinese automaker with a strong international presence, and a diversified automaker with extensive global operations. Several models under these partnerships are slated for launch in 2025 and will feature Hesai's compact and ultra-high-definition ATX LiDAR.
