On January 3, 2025, nickel ore inventories at national ports continued destocking by 340,000 wmt compared to December 27, 2024, reaching 8.596 million wmt. The total equivalent metal content was 67,500 mt in metal content. In the Philippines, since mid-December, most local mines have been on holiday, coupled with the rainy season in southern Philippines. It is expected that subsequent nickel ore port arrivals from the Philippines will see limited growth, and port inventories will continue to decline.
