SMM January 10 News: Today, the SMM 1# lead average price dropped by 50 yuan/mt from yesterday to 16,500 yuan/mt. Secondary lead was mainly quoted at premiums of 50-100 yuan/mt against the SMM 1# lead average price on an ex-factory basis, with quotations in Anhui at a premium of 100 yuan/mt ex-factory, and in Henan and Jiangxi at a premium of 50 yuan/mt. The ex-factory prices of tax-free refined lead in the market were reported at 15,650-15,800 yuan/mt. Suppliers followed market trends, while downstream enterprises remained cautious and purchased only as needed. Some battery producers had mostly completed stockpiling, and the Chinese New Year holiday will begin in 3-5 days.
