SMM January 10 News: This week, the replacement demand in the lead-acid battery market remained weak. In the electric bicycle and automotive battery markets, dealers reported poor battery sales. Coupled with the decline in lead prices and pessimistic sentiment about the market outlook, both lead-acid battery producers and dealers showed low pre-holiday stocking sentiment. As Chinese New Year approaches, battery logistics are expected to halt soon. Next week is anticipated to be the final period for battery dealers to stock up, but most dealers have indicated that they have already completed their pre-holiday stocking. On the producer side, downstream enterprises traditionally stockpile lead ingots, but this year, downstream stocking has been more scattered, with some enterprises hesitating whether to stockpile at all. Spot lead transactions have also been inconsistent.
