The production decrease was mainly attributed to the fewer days in February and the impact of the Chinese New Year holiday. During this period, smelters primarily focused on fulfilling previous order deliveries. Additionally, the downstream LCO market was in the off-season, with demand slightly weak and market transactions relatively sluggish. By March 2025, downstream market demand is expected to recover, with the possibility of an increase in new orders, driving the Co3O4 market to regain activity. Production is anticipated to grow MoM and continue to increase YoY.
