[SMM Monthly Shipping Data: Global Shipments and Port Arrivals Continued to Decline in February] According to SMM, the global iron ore shipment volume in February 2025 totaled 117.23 million mt, down 6.1% MoM. Among them, Australia saw a significant decline of over 14% MoM, with Roy Hill Mine experiencing the largest drop of approximately 27%. Brazil's shipments increased by 6.6% MoM, while non-mainstream shipments slightly rose by 2.7% MoM. In February 2025, China's total iron ore port arrivals reached 90.58 million mt, down 15.8% MoM. Among them, port arrivals at Qingdao Port, Bayuquan Port, and Beilun Port fell by over 30%.

Except for slight increases at Caofeidian and Tianjin Ports, port arrivals at other ports declined, with Qingdao, Bayuquan, and Beilun Ports seeing decreases of over 30%. On a YoY basis, port arrivals fell by 13.4%.
