Beijing (Gasgoo)- On March 10, unmanned driving solution developer Stars Technology and LiDAR maker Seyond officially announced a strategic partnership to advance the development of self-driving intelligent guided vehicles (IGVs) for next-generation smart logistics.
The collaboration will focus on integrating high-performance LiDAR technology into industrial logistics applications, driving the global adoption of functional autonomous vehicles.
Stars Technology aims to enhance warehouse and transportation efficiency through self-driving technology. Under this partnership, Seyond will equip Stars Technology's new IGV models with its Robin W wide-angle LiDAR as a core perception unit. The IGVs utilize a multi-sensor fusion system to achieve 360° blind-spot-free perception and centimeter-level dynamic positioning in complex industrial environments. This significantly improves obstacle avoidance and path planning, enabling efficient operations in high-density storage areas and mixed-traffic environments.
Robin W LiDAR addresses key challenges in IGV applications with differentiated features:
• A 120°×70° ultra-wide detection range, ensuring comprehensive environmental monitoring and enhanced safety in complex logistics scenarios.
• Optimized vertical coverage (+15° above horizontal and -55° below) to minimize blind spots, particularly in narrow aisles and high-density shelving environments, facilitating precise navigation and maneuvering.
• Long-range detection capabilities of up to 150 meters (70 meters at 10% reflectivity), balancing near-field and distant object recognition to enhance both safety and efficiency.
• Robust automotive-grade reliability, backed by strict production standards and certifications, reducing long-term operational costs and maintenance needs.
