[SMM Secondary Lead Inventory Weekly Review] As of March 14, 2025, the finished product inventories of secondary lead smelters stood at 8,740 mt, down 3,380 mt WoW.

SMM, March 14:

As of March 14, 2025, finished product inventories at secondary lead smelters stood at 8,740 mt, down 3,380 mt WoW. Due to production cuts at secondary lead smelters caused by environmental protection-related controls and tight raw material supply, in-plant inventories of finished products remained limited. Additionally, downstream buyers were relatively cautious in their purchases as lead prices fluctuated at highs; most primary lead cargoes were quoted firmly due to willingness for delivery, while secondary lead smelters expanded discounts to facilitate sales. In some regions, downstream buyers preferred spot orders of secondary lead after evaluation.
