Beijing (Gasgoo)- Chinese new energy vehicle maker Leapmotor recently launched its LEAP 3.5 technology architecture, which features Baidu Maps' LD data. The first model equipped with this architecture, the B10, has entered mass production, offering an industry-leading end-to-end intelligent driving system and an AI-powered smart cockpit.
Baidu Maps' LD data covers over 360 cities, 2,800 districts, and 38,000 townships across China, with lane-level information spanning 3.6 million kilometers of roads. This breakthrough overcomes the limitations of traditional high-definition maps in terms of coverage, cost, and real-time updates. The dataset provides highly detailed lane-level topology, attributes, and dynamic updates, enabling Leapmotor's intelligent driving system to accurately navigate complex intersections, merging lanes, restricted traffic lanes, and other challenging scenarios.
With its extended perception capabilities, Baidu's LD data enhances lane selection efficiency for intelligent driving, significantly reducing decision-making errors and improving both driving safety and the overall smart driving experience.
The B10 supports highway and urban intelligent navigation assist powered by end-to-end AI large-model, enabling autonomous lane changes, overtaking, and obstacle avoidance without relying on high-definition maps.
