Manufacturers in Hebei indicated that overall demand in the automotive battery market is moderate, with strong orders for vehicle assembly. Factory operating rates exceed 90%, but since March, replacement orders for batteries have relatively weakened, leading to an increase in battery inventory. Manufacturers in Zhejiang reported weak demand in the automotive battery market, particularly due to an unfavorable SHFE/LME price ratio for battery exports, resulting in poor export orders.
