Founded in 2022, Xinjiang Zhicun Lithium is an emerging enterprise focusing on the lithium industry, covering the entire industry chain. Committed to supporting the "dual carbon" goals, Xinjiang Zhicun Lithium leverages the abundant lithium resources in Xinjiang, establishing production sites in Bayingolin Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, Hotan, and Altay. The company has built a complete lithium battery new material industry chain, encompassing mining, ore processing, lithium chemicals preparation, and comprehensive utilisation of lithium slag. Among these, the Bayingolin base, with a capacity of 60,000 mt/year, was successfully put into operation on July 2, 2023, making it the largest single-line lithium carbonate production line in China. The first phase of the Hotan base, with a capacity of 30,000 mt, is expected to start production in H1 2025. Both bases are equipped with corresponding mining, ore processing, and lithium slag comprehensive utilisation construction projects.
The company has acquired multiple lithium mining rights, including the Longmenshan lithium mine in Dahongliutan, Hotan County, and the Washi Xia South lithium mine in Ruoqiang (acquired through cooperation). The existing mining rights have identified lithium oxide resources exceeding 1 million mt. Ongoing mineral exploration continues to yield positive results, with mineral reserves steadily increasing, laying a solid resource foundation for the company's long-term, high-quality development. Xinjiang Zhicun Lithium implements a development strategy of "rooted in Xinjiang, radiating to China," accelerating the layout of lithium resource development and utilization, reducing the external dependence on lithium resources, and contributing to national resource security.

01 Battery-Grade Lithium Carbonate
With the molecular formula Li2CO3, it appears as colorless monoclinic crystals or white powder. It has a density of 2.21 g/cm3, a melting point of 720°C, is soluble in acids, and slightly soluble in water.
Battery-grade lithium carbonate is a key raw material for producing lithium battery cathode materials (mainly LCO, LMO, ternary cathode material, etc.) and electrolytes. With the rapid development of EVs in recent years, which have a huge demand for lithium batteries, battery-grade lithium carbonate has also entered a fast lane of development.
