On Thursday, April 24, global miner Anglo American reported a 15% YoY decline in Q1 copper production but maintained its full-year production guidance unchanged. The London-listed miner stated that Q1 copper production was 168,900 mt, reflecting increased production in Peru due to higher grades, which was offset by planned production declines in Chile. On Thursday, April 24, global miner Anglo American reported a 15% YoY decline in Q1 copper production but maintained its full-year production guidance. The London-listed miner stated that Q1 copper production was 168,900 mt, reflecting increased production in Peru due to higher grades, offset by planned production declines in Chile. Nickel production in Q1 increased by 3% to 9,800 mt, reflecting stable operations at the Barro Alto mine. Anglo American's 2025 copper production guidance is 690,000-750,000 mt.
