Beijing (Gasgoo)- On November 15, AVATR, the premium new energy vehicle brand jointly developed by Changan Automobile, Huawei, and CATL, announced a strategic partnership with electric vehicle maker NIO, granting its users full access to NIO's expansive charging network.
Effective the same day, AVATR users can locate and utilize NIO's charging stations across China via the AVATR app, significantly enhancing charging convenience and efficiency.
NIO has been aggressively expanding its energy replenishment network in 2024, forging partnerships with automakers such as Chery, MHERO, Huawei's Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance, Hongqi, DEEPAL, AION, IM Motors, ZEEKR, Lotus, Cadillac, Buick, and XPENG to enable charging interoperability.
As of October 31, NIO has established a robust infrastructure, covering an extensive battery-swapping network along 7 north-south and 9 east-west expressways, as well as across 12 major metropolitan clusters in China. Its facilities include 2,621 battery swap stations and 23,969 charging piles, with over 5,661 million battery swaps performed.
