DiDi-backed autonomous trucking solution provider KargoBot has achieved a milestone by exceeding 100 million tonne-kilometers in L4 autonomous bulk commodity transport.

Beijing (Gasgoo)- DiDi-backed autonomous trucking solution provider KargoBot has achieved a milestone by exceeding 100 million tonne-kilometers in L4 autonomous bulk commodity transport. Its autonomous convoy operations have also surpassed 15 million kilometers, marking a significant step in commercial autonomous logistics, according to the company's announcement on December 24.

At the same time, the company announced its global innovation R&D headquarters found home in Ordos, Inner Mongolia. Based in Ordos, KargoBot has established its global innovation headquarters in the city's Kangbashi District, supporting Ordos' development as a pilot hub for integrated vehicle-road-cloud systems. The company leverages Ordos' ideal freight scenarios to enhance its autonomous driving models, utilizing real-world data from experienced drivers and large-scale operations.

KargoBot's autonomous truck fleets use a lead L2 vehicle to guide multiple L4 autonomous trucks, achieving up to 83% labor savings and reducing fuel consumption by 10%. This model, supported by a smart logistics dispatch platform, also improves operational efficiency by 10% and cuts management costs by 50%.

The company's innovation headquarters focuses on AI R&D, autonomous driving system design, scenario expansion, cloud platform scheduling operations, transportation robot development, and more. Meanwhile, KargoBot's previous R&D and operation center holds the ability to support the large-scale deployment, unmanned operations, and commercial applications of thousands of intelligent connected vehicles.
