SMM, December 27:
Rare Earth Ore
Prices: Rare earth carbonate prices are around 32,400 yuan/mt, monazite prices are around 37,000 yuan/mt, and medium-yttrium, europium-rich ore standard ore prices are around 170,000 yuan/mt.
Supply and Demand: Myanmar ore imports have not yet resumed, miners show low willingness to sell, and rare earth ore prices remain firm.
Rare Earth Oxides
Prices: The mainstream quotation range for Pr-Nd oxide is 395,000-400,000 yuan/mt; the transaction range for dysprosium oxide is 1.59-1.6 million yuan/mt, and terbium oxide quotations are around 5.57-5.65 million yuan/mt.
Supply and Demand: Yesterday, Pr-Nd oxide prices slightly pulled back, with some traders completing transactions at lower prices. Downstream metal plants bought the dip, leading to a noticeable decline in the actual transaction range for Pr-Nd oxide.
Rare Earth Metals
Prices: The transaction price for Pr-Nd alloy in the market is around 490,000-494,000 yuan/mt, while dysprosium-iron prices correspond to oxide quotations of around 1.56-1.57 million yuan/mt, and terbium metal quotations are around 6.95-7 million yuan/mt.
Supply and Demand: Yesterday, metal plant quotations remained relatively firm. With the decline in Pr-Nd oxide prices, the mainstream transaction prices for Pr-Nd alloy also slightly dipped. Dysprosium and terbium metal prices remained relatively firm, and market transactions were sluggish.
Magnetic Materials
Prices: NdFeB blank prices for NdFeB blank N35 (Ce) were reported at 125-135 yuan/kg, while NdFeB blank 38H prices were reported at 170-180 yuan/kg.
Supply and Demand: Currently, the overall order growth in the magnetic materials market is limited, with orders concentrated among a few leading large enterprises whose production capacity is already nearing saturation. In contrast, small and medium-sized enterprises have not seen the expected increase in orders, leading to a more pessimistic outlook on the future market.
NdFeB Scrap
Prices: NdFeB scrap Pr-Nd prices were reported at 408-417 yuan/kg; NdFeB scrap dysprosium prices were reported at 1,548-1,580 yuan/kg; NdFeB scrap terbium prices were reported at 5,000-5,054 yuan/kg.
Supply and Demand: Recently, the scrap market has been sluggish, with prices struggling to rise significantly. Scrap separation enterprises generally adopt stable quotation strategies, focusing on selecting high-quality sources and reducing procurement. Additionally, enterprises show low interest in high-priced inventory.
