Beijing (Gasgoo)- LiDAR manufacturer Hesai Technology announced on December 27 that it has secured production contracts for over 100 vehicle models from 21 automakers, including new designations from three of China's top five carmakers. These recent agreements complement earlier contracts with major players like Great Wall Motor and Changan Automobile.
The three newly added automaker partners include a company with annual sales in the million units, a globally recognized Chinese automaker with a strong international presence, and a diversified automaker with extensive global operations. Several models under these partnerships are slated for launch in 2025 and will feature Hesai's compact and ultra-high-definition ATX LiDAR.
Since receiving its first production contract in 2021, Hesai has made strides in the deployment of advanced driver-assistance systems, including urban NOA (navigation-on-autopilot) and active safety features. Known as the "invisible safety airbag" for high-level intelligent driving, Hesai's LiDAR solutions benefit from ongoing technological innovation, robust delivery capabilities, stringent quality control, and sharp market insights.
The ATX LiDAR, based on Hesai’s mature AT platform, integrates its fourth-generation chip architecture. This combination of compact design and powerful performance accelerates the adoption of intelligent driving technologies. Released in April 2023, the ATX has since secured contracts with leading domestic automakers, top-tier new energy vehicle brands, and prominent European and American joint ventures in China. Mass production of the ATX is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2025. The ATX LiDAR will come as a standard feature in numerous vehicle models in 2025.
