SHANGHAI, Jul 4 (SMM) –  Electrolyte prices remained stable. Supply tends to exceed demand. The ample electrolyte production is primarily driven by the abundance of raw materials. A slight increase in battery cell production has modestly boosted electrolyte demand. However, because passing on electrolyte costs to downstream sectors is difficult, prices have temporarily steadied. Lithium hexafluorophosphate prices have marginally decreased due to a minor oversupply and 70-80% operating rates. The demand has subtly risen in tandem with the electrolyte production increase. In terms of cost, while the price of lithium carbonate has experienced a slight decline, phosphorus pentachloride has recently become more expensive. Consequently, the production cost of lithium hexafluorophosphate might decrease, leading to a predicted short-term price drop.
