SHANGHAI, Jul 4 (SMM) – Last week, the price of ternary cathode precursors increased slightly as the prices of nickel and cobalt rose, causing a slight increase in manufacturing costs. Some companies increased their prices in response. However, due to the strong desire to press down on precursor prices by cathode companies during the downward price of lithium, and facing severe pressure from the downstream battery end, the actual spot transaction price was only slightly increased. Going forward, the price of the ternary cathode precursor may rise steadily with the cost.
