On January 3, SMM A00 aluminum closed at 19,850 yuan/mt, down 20 yuan/mt, on par with the January contract, up 0 yuan/mt. The Henan-Shanghai price spread was -90 yuan/mt, up 10 yuan/mt. SMM Central China closed at 19,760 yuan/mt, down 10 yuan/mt. On January 3, SMM A00 aluminum (Foshan) closed at 20,000 yuan/mt, down 50 yuan/mt, with a premium of 155 yuan/mt over the current-month contract, narrowing by 30 yuan/mt.
Aluminum billet spot market: Today, the overall domestic aluminum billet market saw mediocre transactions, with processing fees continuing to decline. By region, the South China market experienced weak transactions, quoted at 320–370 yuan/mt, down 10 yuan/mt; the Wuxi market saw mediocre transactions, quoted at 350–400 yuan/mt, down 30 yuan/mt; the Nanchang market's supply-demand pattern remained stable, quoted at 400–450 yuan/mt, basically flat.
