According to SMM survey, most copper billet companies said that orders in June will continue to shrink due to the off-season. There will be no constraints from raw material supply in June as a wider price difference between copper cathode and copper scrap has eased supply tightness of copper scrap.
It is expected that downstream enterprises will reduce purchases in June as they had placed orders in May when processing fees were lowered. In order to maintain the market share, some copper billet plants will lower prices in June, and market competition will be more fierce. Most copper billet companies are not optimistic about the market.
