The average operating rate of die-casting zinc alloy plants recorded 43.6% last week, a drop of 1.9 percentage points from 45.49% in the prior week. In terms of raw material inventory, some plants restocked inventories ahead of the holidays amid sharp declines in spot premiums and large inflows of imported zinc.
In terms of operating rates, some companies with a backlog of orders maintained operating rates stable. Some companies shut down for up to five days for the holidays against poor end-user orders and reduced new orders. As most enterprises will resume production this week, the operating rates will increase.
