Silicon enterprises in Xinjiang maintained a high level of operation, and the sample enterprises were still fulfilling orders, but they had entered the final stage of order fulfillment, with overall inventory changes remaining minimal.
The weekly production of sample silicon enterprises in Yunnan (accounting for 30% of capacity) was 7,565 mt, with a weekly operating rate of 89%, slightly declining WoW. At the beginning of last week, some sample silicon enterprises in Yunnan reduced production, and a few non-sample silicon enterprises also shut down furnaces recently. Most silicon enterprises in Yunnan still plan to shut down furnaces by the end of the month. Due to low spot prices, manufacturers were not highly motivated to quote prices for shipments during the week.
The weekly production of sample silicon enterprises in Sichuan (accounting for 32% of capacity) was 4,585 mt, with a weekly operating rate of 70%, remaining basically flat WoW. Last week, the operating rates of sample silicon enterprises in Sichuan remained stable. Recently, there were no production reductions or furnace shutdowns among silicon enterprises in Sichuan, but they still plan to concentrate production reductions and furnace shutdowns by the end of the month. As the expected shutdown time approaches, some sample silicon enterprises have a strong mentality to support prices, leading to continued stalemates with downstream buyers.
