Beijing (Gasgoo)- Sunwoda EVB, through its automotive electronics division Sungiant, recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with STMicroelectronics to pursue strategic cooperation on automotive electrification and intelligent solutions, with a particular focus on the Chinese and European markets.
This collaboration will leverage STMicroelectronics' comprehensive automotive semiconductor lineup and proprietary manufacturing technology to support advanced battery management systems (BMS), body control modules (BCM), and additional applications.
Under the MoU, Sungiant and STMicroelectronics will focus on both short- and long-term projects, co-developing BMS, vehicle dynamic control (VDC) systems, and zone control units (ZCU) for new energy vehicles (NEVs) globally.
Additionally, the companies plan to establish a joint laboratory to promote innovation and streamline R&D process. This lab will focus on chip design, testing, validation, and materials research, with the goal of creating new technologies, prototypes, and optimized solutions for specific applications. The collaboration is expected to enhance Sungiant’s product capabilities and global competitiveness in the fast-evolving NEV market.
